For a transparent supply chain,
The People and the Planet
The demand from society and consumers for honest, reliable and sustainable flowers and plants is increasing. For us, it is a matter of course to work with respect for people, the environment and the environment. The focus on sustainability is therefore deeply embedded in our corporate culture.
Our DFG sustainability strategy, IMPACT25, supports us in this effort. IMPACT25 is based on three pillars: for a transparent chain, for people, for the planet. For each pillar, we have our commitment, our ambition and concrete initiatives towards 2025.
IMPACT25, what we do
As an organisation, we do everything we can to contribute to a better world based on these three pillars. We ensure that we purchase within the framework of internationally accepted certifications. We take responsibility for our own CO2 emissions and for emissions in the chain. Together with chain partners, we map out emissions and reduce them where possible. Where it is structurally possible, we have installed solar panels on the business premises. And to increase biodiversity and help combat climate change, we are involved in various sustainable initiatives. We also encourage our chain partners to do the same. After all, together you achieve more than alone, especially in the field of sustainability. In addition, we offer our employees plenty of opportunities for further development and there is ample attention for sustainable employability.

Honey Highway, happy bees
From Dutch Flower Group we are involved in the Honey Highway project. Honey Highway is a sustainable initiative that increases biodiversity by making mowing agreements and sowing areas with native flower seed mixtures. In this way, wild bees can collect food over a longer period of time and hibernate becomes possible. In the area ‘de Kwakel’, where the companies of Dutch Flower Group are located, 40,000 m2 on and around the VWA Zuid site has been transformed into a sea of flowers for bees. In the meantime, four well-visited beehives have been installed and tens of thousands of bees live on our site! We are very proud of that!
